www.huffingtonpost.com/2011/10/24/public-school-sex-ed-class-could-teach-on-oral-sex-and-bestiality_n_1028670.html QUOTE: Public School Sex Ed Class Could Inform On Oral Sex And Bestiality Sexual education classes at NYC public high schools and middle schools might feature some usually unmentioned lessons next year. Among those lessons? Bestiality, anal sex, oral, sex, phone sex, porn and more, WSBT reports. According to the report, the Department of Education has recommended students learn "everything there is to know about sex" in the new curriculum. The New York Post reviewed the potential workbooks and posted a list of some of the lesson assignments: High-school students go to stores and jot down condom brands, prices and features such as lubrication. Teens research a route from school to a clinic that provides birth control and STD tests, and write down its confidentiality policy. Kids ages 11 and 12 sort “risk cards” to rate the safety of various activities, including “intercourse using a condom and an oil-based lubricant,’’ mutual masturbation, French kissing, oral sex and anal sex. Teens are referred to resources such as Columbia University’s Web site Go Ask Alice, which explores topics like “doggie-style” and other positions, “sadomasochistic sex play,” phone sex, oral sex with braces, fetishes, porn stars, vibrators and bestiality. This comes after Deputy Mayor Linda Gibbs commended the DOE in August for giving students the necessary information about sexual activity, and what choices are available to them, NBC New York reported. Lesson plans will also talk about french kissing, condoms and lubricants, and mutual masturbation. While some parents worry that the curriculum could make some sexual activities seem appealing, one New York City father told WSBT that he doesn't see a problem with it. "I think it's a good idea," he told the station. "They're going to have sex. They know it exists. Teaching them about it in my mind doesn't sanction it or encourage it." The new lessons could make their way into classrooms as soon as this spring, as well as a free condom program at every NYC public school, as sex education is becoming more commonplace in schools -- and among younger students. D.C. Public Schools announced last month, in a move that's the first of its kind in the country, that students in grades 5, 8 and 10 will be administered standardized tests on sexuality, contraception and drug use.

"Schools Teach how to Practice Sodomy + Bestiality!"
It is one thing to inform kids on the range of practises that are legally available for humans to do, but why would they cover the illegal. Or is bestiality not illegal?

Maybe they are explaining that it is illegal?
Though that's a pretty daft thing to do because everyone knows that the best way to get a teenager to do anything is by telling them not to do it.

Exactly.

Maybe they are explaining that it is illegal? The title says that they are being taught how to 'practise' bestiality, which is a different thing than just imparting information on what is illegal.

Well, rape and murder are illegal; is the plan to 'demonstrate' them next?

The much maligned populist organisation MassResistance.org, whose members are largely parents of school children, has been reporting on "Fistgate", which instructs school children how to practice sodomy. www.massresistance.org/docs/issues/fistgate/index.html QUOTE: The "Fistgate" conference: HERE'S what homosexual activists in schools do with children . . . Oct. 12, 2012 Students as young as 12 given graphic instruction in bizarre homosexual sex acts by state employees (and we were there to record it for the world).[NOTE: Kevin Jennings, the founder of GLSEN, was appointed by the Obama administration to run the Office of Safe & Drug Free Schools in the US Department of Education! GLSEN (Gay, Lesbian, and Straight Education Network) is a national homosexual organization that targets children in the public schools, and has formed "gay straight alliance" clubs in schools across the country. Jennings was the Executive Director of GLSEN at the time and was the keynote speaker at this conference!] Have you wondered what homosexual activists do when they are alone with kids in the tax-funded “gay clubs” in schools and other activities? It’s not pretty. In fact, it’s very disgusting. Now you can hear for yourself. "Fisting [forcing one's entire hand into another person's rectum or vagina] often gets a bad rap....[It's] an experience of letting somebody into your body that you want to be that close and intimate with...[and] to put you into an exploratory mode." The above quotation comes from Massachusetts Department of Education employees describing the pleasures of homosexual sex to a group of high school students at a state-sponsored workshop on during GLSEN-Boston's "TeachOut" Conference on March 25, 2000 held at Tufts University. Approximately 200 young teens and 300 adults attended the day-long event. Kids were bussed in from high schools across Massachusetts. We have posted the actual audio recordings of what went on at that March 2000 event. Children as young as 12 were instructed by adults (state employees!) how to perform a range of dangerous and perverted homosexual sex acts. These included: homosexual oral sex techniques, inserting one’s entire hand in someone else’s rectum, sado-masochism techniques, girls using “dildos” and rubbing their sex organs together, and more. When we revealed this to the world a few months later it made national news. It was reported in all the Boston media – radio, TV and newspapers – and several national networks. FOX News came to Boston from New York to report on it. We made sure that each member of the Massachusetts Legislature was given a copy of the tape. GLSEN (and Kevin Jennings) did not dispute that the recordings were genuine or that the events did not take place as we described them. Instead, they tried to get a court to ban the tape and sue us. In fact, Jennings defended the event. But the Massachusetts Legislature wasn’t fazed. They caved in to the powerful homosexual movement. They have continued to fund radical "Safe Schools" programs in the Dept. of Education. And in 2006 the Legislature even wrote GLSEN into the general laws as a mandated member of the tax-supported Massachusetts Commission for GLBT Youth. This is the low opinion that our legislators have of your children. On April 18, 2000, Scott Whiteman, who attended the GLSEN conference and made the recordings, hand-delivered an affidavit describing the event to the office of Middlesex County District Attorney Martha Coakley. He received no response from Coakley, nor did she take any action whatsoever other than to acknowledge that she received the affidavit. (Martha Coakley is now the Massachusetts Attorney General, has raised money for homosexual activist causes, favors same-sex "marriage," pushed the "transgender rights" bill, and challenged DOMA in the federal courts.) A few weeks after the incident, Scott Whiteman, who was then Executive Director of Parents' Rights Coalition (now known as MassResistance), collaborated with Brian Camenker, president of Parents' Rights Coalition, on an article published in the May 2000 edition of Massachusetts News, a newspaper distributed across the state. The incident was dubbed "Fistgate" by Massachusetts News publisher Ed Pawlick. A week later the tapes were played on WTKK radio in Boston by evening talk show host Jeanine Graf. That sparked a media firestorm in Boston as excerpts from the tapes were played on radio and television news shows. Soon afterwards, the three state employees (whose voices are heard on the tapes) were fired by the Department of Education. The homosexual movement responded by persuading a Superior Court judge to ban the playing of the tapes, and then initiating a lawsuit against Camenker, Whiteman, and Parents' Rights Coalition, claiming that they had violated an obscure and antiquated Massachusetts wiretapping law, and seeking monetary damages. The "Gay and Lesbian Advocates and Defenders" (GLAD) -- the same state-funded group that won the Goodridge same-sex "marriage" case -- went right into action. A few months later, Margot Abels, one of the fired instructors, managed to get an arbitrator in the Mass. Dept. of Education to reinstate her. She didn't take her job back, but instead initiated her own lawsuit against Camenker, Whiteman and Parents' Rights Coalition to collect damages. She was completely unrepentent of her actions with the young students in the conference. “I don’t know that we would have done anything differently,” Abels arrogantly told the homosexual newspaper Bay Windows. “We didn’t feel like we had to hide our work. We didn’t feel like we had done anything wrong.” After a years of court activity, the GLAD lawsuit ended in 2005, when GLAD essentially abandoned the case. However, Margot Abels continued to pursue her lawsuit against Camenker and Whiteman. That suit was settled in 2006. The terms of the settlements allow Camenker to distribute the tape and other information regarding the incident with no restrictions.

OK - I've found a rather less biased account of that on Wiki: en.wikipedia.org/wiki/MassResistanceI have to confess that I don't feel comfortable about that kind explicit information, even if it is in response to a question. The same sort of thing could crop up even if children were only taught about heterosexual practices; that wouldn't be right either. I'm just glad I don't have to decide what does and does not go into a sex education course!

I can see why Mass Resistance is "much maligned". Their presentation of their alleged information was not expository, it was hate-based in fact, and so I wouldn't know how to walk away from reading that trusting much of anything it said.
Gays are just people, they aren't perverted fiends who want to harm children. - but that's exactly what they endeavored to say.
I'd be willing to bet the real story isnt anywhere near as sinister as this is twisted into making it seem. Or at least, I wouldnt make a conclusion before hearing from the other side on this - because it's so lopsided.
That's point one.
Point two is why are there people who'd devote their energies to having an us-versus-them with a segment of the populace they hate. 3% of the populace is gay and 45% of everybody has a gay relative or friend they care about. So in this day and age, hate-mongering at a certain type of people - they might as well have singled out blacks or Jews. It'd be no different than singling out gays.
Here's a solution: dont teach sex ed in schools! Make it mandatory that parents pay to send their kids to a course on sex outside of school, and let them chose between sending them to the class that teaches all the facts, or send them to the... religious school where they can learn we should KILL the gays and bury them because the bible said so, and the earth is only 5,000 years old and blah blah blah (Well, religion is where the objection stems from isnt it?
But nonethelesss, don't teach sex ed in school. Let parents pay extra for an outside course of their choosing. End of strange problem.

I honestly don't know where I stand on this. I'm really not sure that sex education should be showing students of any age different sex practices or promoting tolerance of homosexuals. Not that I'm against the latter of course but I can't see how explaining the nitty gritty helps achieve it.
When I was at school reproduction was part of biology. Why not teach reproduction and ways disease can spread in science classes, and discuss relationships in citizenship, ethics or whatever you call it?
Fashions in sex education come and go but I'm not sure any have had the result of cutting down on teenage pregnancy or sexually transmitted disease.

The same sort of thing could crop up even if children were only taught about heterosexual practices; that wouldn't be right either. I'm just glad I don't have to decide what does and does not go into a sex education course! Ah, thank you Skylark. It's just as I thought.... Who MassResistance is:QUOTE/...the nonprofit civil rights organization Southern Poverty Law Center has listed MassResistance as an active anti-gay hate group. In 1996 MassResistance's leader, Brian Camenker claimed that suicide prevention programs aimed at gay youth actually were “put together by homosexual activists to normalize homosexuality.” MassResistance also asserted that groups such as the Gay, Lesbian and Straight Education Network (GLSEN), which support school anti-bullying programs, actually want to "lure children into homosexuality and, very possibly, sadomasochism. MassResistance has also insisted that gays were "trying to get legislation passed to allow sex with animals", later adding, "They [gays and lesbians] are pushing perversion on our kids." MassResistance has made claims that no homosexuals died in the The Holocaust of World War II, that the "pink triangle the Nazis forced imprisoned gays to wear actually signified Catholic priests," and that "gays are dangerous to kids". They have also made comments regarding "skyrocketing homosexual domestic violence" and called a gay pride event a "depraved" display that featured "a great deal of obviously disturbed, dysfunctional, and extremely self-centered people whose aim was to push their agenda". \UNQUOTE They're nuts! And what really happened at the conference? It wasn't part of a curriculum some evil demons are trying every which way to inflict on people's kids, it was a Sex Ed workshop and a student asked about fisting and was provided with an explanation. Some may not like that he was given one, but this is a helluva lot less nefarious than the lunatics at MassResistance painted it as.

MassResistance sound a ghastly lot but I don't think anyone has denied what they said about fisting. Organise a sex education conference and you are asking for that sort of question. Is such a workshop really a good idea?
