Well, I'm glad you enjoyed the Doobs and Elton. Black Water is sweet. And Pseudo Echo - well, I'm not surprised you've never heard of them but I like their F Town the best. You know, the 1st album I ever bought was Elton John's Greatest Hits (Vol 1). With my pocket money. I didn't get much pocket money and albums weren't that expensive. I still have it. The album, not the pocket money. Played I couldn't tell you how many times over the years but not scratched. Still in almost pristine condition. Anyway, from '73. Enjoy. The very 1st album I ever bought was the same as yours! ;D This is cool! I was 10 years old. 99.9% of my allowance went to records. ;D I also had a HUGE crush on Elton John before I bought that 1st 1 and had the crush for many years. That was before I knew ANYTHING about gay/bisexual people, etc. I still find him sexy, to be honest. THANK YOU for "Saturday Night". I LOVE IT! 1 critic once said something like "It's Elton John ripping off the Who". I say if you're going to rip a group off, pick 1 of the best and Elton did (if he really DID do that). ;D

Well, pumpkin, I'm not sure what to say.
The 1st albums we both bought were EJ's greatest hits vol 1?
Damn. We both have great taste. And we both had great taste at the same time and at different parts of the world!!!
Pocket money for me. And I still have the album. I was a very young kid but I knew good stuff when I heard it.
And I still have the album.
Sweet.

I was FANATIC about keeping my records clean (a lot better at that than keeping other parts of my room clean... ) when I was still collecting records. I bought my copy with my allowance also. I was 10 years old from what I remember. I remember Elton's songs being on the radio CONSTANTLY which was wonderful. I 1st became a fan when my Dad would play the "top 40" on the radio on Sunday mornings while he made breakfast. Great memories! ;D

Actualy, it's in pretty decent shape considering it's age. IMO after the mid 90's he lost it, really. But give the devil his due and he was amazing. I never actually saw him in concert. I did see my other favourite piano man twice - one B Joel from somewhere in NJ I think.
It would have been great to go to the concerts with both of them on stage - I would have rocked out to that.

A rare one. I haven't heard this in years but it's one of billy's earliest and best songs. He's still got that pub muso aura going.
