Actually, I like this version better than Kate Bush. Heresy, I know but what are you gonna do?

I just love this song and it induced me to learn Italian. The video has an English translation of the magical lyrics. We part ways, but we are always together in those lands that we know don't exist anymore. Sarah Brightman does a good English version of this magical song below!

Of all the songs posted above the only one I like is Mr Postman by Karen Carpenter.
Picking a favorite song would be difficult but I would put Bill Wither's version of 'Ain't no Sunshine' right up there

This is a little rough, but it's the best cut I could find on the internet. From the 80's, back before life sucked, it's Chrissie Hynde and 'The Pretenders'.
Before she went mainstream, Chrissie was a punk rocker and almost married Johnny Rotten (well, he asked her and she considered it). She's also Tom Petty's cousin (perhaps you can see the family resemblance.) Without further ado, and falling nowhere near the assenine length of the introduction Andy Kaufman once gave her, here is Chrissie Hynde, The Pretenders!..

I guess it depends on one's age what music they remember. I liked the 70's stuff mostly, but this is one of the things that happened in the 80's which stuck out at me.
I always have mixed feelings here though. I don't like drugs; I certainly don't want to be around them, and these guys were playing on heroin half the time. Well, I tried to find a concert that approximates the studio cuts and shows the band before their party habits took them down. Here are Guns n Roses....
