_________
HOW TO PLAY: EACH WEDNESDAY, I'll give you a word that's so unusual, no one will actually know what it means. We each have to invent a definition for it, just by how it sounds. Try to make a convincing definition, because we'll vote on which is the right answer, and you get points for fooling people into voting for you.
Playing this game online requires we use the honor system. You could cheat (look up the word, vote for yourself), but that would take the fun out of it, so we all agree not to..right?
Try this game! It's fun, and it can be quite funny! ____________________________________________
TO PLAY:
1 - Write a convincing definition for this week's word. 2 - Then vote in the poll which answer is the real definition (One person has been given it, to submit.)
DO NOT LOOK UP THE DEFINITION.
DO NOT VOTE FOR YOUR OWN ANSWER
--> Polling begins on Sundays. 3 - Winner announced and new word given on Wednesdays. ____________________________________________ We'll play this weekly all month. Each week's game you win, wins you 1 point in the month's contest (click for scores).****************************************************************** THIS WEEK'S WORD:QUIDNUNC******************************************************************

Oh lol, yea, last week's game is closed (results are above).
This week's word is "QUIDNUNC". Tell us what it means!
(DON'T look it up! (not even just out of curiosity, that would be cheating, because later you have to vote which is the real definition...so dont look it up!) Just -> Invent a definition that will fool people into voting for yours as the real definition, of
QUIDNUNC!(It can be a silly definition if you want, too...though you wont get votes that way -but sometimes humor is worth a small price, yea!)

Aren't we meant to vote for the one we think is right, not the one we think is most imaginative?

Aren't we meant to vote for the one we think is right, not the one we think is most imaginative? Yes, but it's not against the rules to decide you like something imaginative or funny someone put forth. I mean you'll lose 5 points for doing so, and someone who submits a joke answer usually forfeits their chance at winning by doing so. So there's a price to joking around, but it's definitely allowed. The game is meant to generate laughs. The rules are the rules, but for people to make the occasional exception to tell a joke is actually encouraged.

Yes - but I didn't think we were supposed to vote for the funny ones or I'd have gone for Deyana's too...though not, on relfection, if it meant me losing points.

Yes - but I didn't think we were supposed to vote for the funny ones or I'd have gone for Deyana's too...though not, on relfection, if it meant me losing points. Well, I may have not done a good enough job of explaining what's ok and what isnt...but you could change your vote (I think I set it that way). Of course if you do that, you'll lose the 5 points you got for guessing right. HOWEVER since you've got no other points, and Deyana has 15, there's no chance of you wining this round anyway, so you can do as you please as to voting then (and maybe the others came to that kind of conclusion for themselves?). As with many games, a bit of strategy has to be considered. I actually worried it might be confusing that the game has a point score...but the winner gets a point in the contest score. (Deyana will earn 1 point today. Here-> click ) Oh and a new round starts in 5 hours!
