I work in one of the big chain home improvement stores as a cashier. It has its ups and downs.
One of the downs is dealing with Miss Flirtypants. She's "friends" with some of the contractors. She'll come down to the contractor desk if her favorite guy comes in to buy things. Flirtypants works in the cash office.
She is bossy to people in general. She practically takes over the morale team (kind of like student council at school) when she isn't a spokesperson. Management lets her get away with whatever and it is getting old.
There are times when I need her to get on another register to help get the line down and all she does is flirt. She'll do her paperwork down there just to socialize with the guys. I don't care if they knock boots outside of the store, but sweet heavens I wish she'd go away if she isn't going to help.
I'd say more to her, but I'm afraid that what I end up saying might get me canned.
Thanks for letting me rant.

Well, better to rant here than anywhere else. Do you all moan about her behind her back? If not, yours must be a very nice workplace.

Yeah, you have to be careful what you say to people at work, because I've noticed when it's negative, and the person is a trouble maker, they will blow what you say out of proportion big time, and literally make a mountain out of a mo-hill, making you look like the bad guy, and causing you to get in trouble. If your gonna say something about her, say it to one of the supervisors, if you think it would help things. Maybe a complaint may help a situation that is already being ignored by them. I do notice how funny it is in the work place, how some of us "have" to work hard, but others can get away with total slacking. However this pans out, try not to let it get to you....

Sometimes when you visit the zoo, the monkeys are active. Sometimes they're sleeping. Sometimes they're playing. Sometimes they're fighting.
Don't let the monkey's upset you. Let them do whatever they want and just ignore it.

My work is really stressful and mad and horrible at the moment.
A colleague from another organisation and I were out for a meeting/lunch and she came out with something really comforting.
"I go to work and I look round the room and think to myself, well, I'm the most intelligent person in the room, and so I make allowances accordingly."
