As you wish. What do you have? What do you want me to say, Fretty? You claim to have knowledge of ecology, yet you seem to have trouble in accepting that there many factors in the climate, not just the rise in CO2. You cannot accept that temperatures can drop over a period of years despite the longer term trend being upward. You appear to be quite happy to accept that a graph starting from the highest point of a ten year period is sufficient grounds to declare AGW as sunk. You appear to dismiss carbon dioxide as a greenhouse gas and above all else, you appear to suggest that the Medieval Warm Period somehow disproves carbon dioxide influence in climate change. What I am I supposed to think of someone who cannot distinguish between two completely different climate phenomena and their qualifications regarding ecology and statistics? I think you've said enough already, RV. I have no trouble in recognising that we know a gnat's doo-dah about the system. You on the other hand claim its a wrap, and it isn't. I say AGW is an hypothesis and an increasingly flaky one at that. Nothing has been proven. I do not dismiss CO 2, I don't rate it that highly, CH 4, NOx and H 2O, S, particulates etc all play a role. You place too much credence in half-models that do NOT describe the systems, hence the tweaking of data to make it work. Jones has let the cat out of the bag, have the decency to accept it. wattsupwiththat.com/2009/11/22/bishop-hills-compendium-of-cru-email-issues/

I have no trouble in recognising that we know a gnat's doo-dah about the system. Do you think that is true, fretty? The vast majority of climate scientists think otherwise. You on the other hand claim its a wrap, and it isn't. Again, you appear to mistake me for the entire body of climate scientists. I say AGW is an hypothesis and an increasingly flaky one at that. Nothing has been proven. No matter what has or has not been proven, the entire scientific body seems convinced. Jones has let the cat out of the bag, have the decency to accept it. Thats the problem, Fretty, Jones has not let anything out of the bag. Jones has not said anything that is not been in the public domain, this is a straw man you have erected.

Been off to RealClimate have we...

That is one of the most ridiculous things you've posted - and you do post a lot of tosh. There are enormous gaps in our knowledge.
I say AGW is an hypothesis and an increasingly flaky one at that. Nothing has been proven. No matter what has or has not been proven, the entire scientific body seems convinced.
The entire scientific body? No it isn't. You seem hell bent on maintaining your delusion.
Jones has let the cat out of the bag, have the decency to accept it. Thats the problem, Fretty, Jones has not let anything out of the bag. Jones has not said anything that is not been in the public domain, this is a straw man you have erected.
Look Mr pseudo-scientist, you haven't a bloody clue, I can't be bothered wasting time on someone whose only grasp of HDM is to call people scum.
You believe what the hell you like

Tory scum have yet the halfwit followers of that glorified toilet paper Davis is no defender of the the people, he is a denfender of the rich people, Tories despise truth and prefer propaganda. most despicable of their supporters, the other 10% need to explain why they hang about with the scum.
now how can any body argue with rational arguments like the above....but random..you forgot to say that tories also hate children and eat babies
tsk tsk tsk....the last person i saw/heard talk along those lines was adressing a rally at nuremberg

found this on another site..
Have you heard of Professor Phil Jones? He is the director of the Climatic Research Unit at the University of East Anglia, the man whose emails on climate change were hacked and one of the leading scientific proponents of man made global warming.
In an interview with the BBC he admits that every single period of warming for which accurate figures are available shows a virtually identical pattern. He further admits that the only reason the Medieval Warm Period is not considered identical is the lack of accurate temperature records for the temperature in the tropics and southern hemisphere seven hundred and fifty years ago. All the available records, from Europe, North America, Asia and the North Atlantic show it to be the same as modern warming.
However, the most damning remark comes when he is given the opportunity to justify the oft-repeated claim that the current warming is man made. He is asked "What factors convince you that recent warming has been largely man-made?"
AND THE ANSWER "The fact that we can't explain the warming from the 1950s by solar and volcanic forcing."
So that's the 'overwhelming evidence' that we are causing climate change. It can't be proven that the sun caused it. It can't be proven that volcanic forcing caused it. Must be us then.
