You will absolutely love this video…. Be sure to watch it all the way to the end. Amazing.
Realizing there are no words to convey the wonder and mystery of Antarctica -- what it is like to be amidst such an abundance of wildlife that is totally unafraid of humans -- I pass along this video, taken on the sub-Antarctic island of South Georgia, showing a remarkable and loving interaction between a young ("weaner") elephant seal (probably weighing 300 pounds) and the young woman who was the "hostess" on our ship (ran all the hotel aspects of our voyage, but also loved to get on land and be with the animals). Video was taken by her husband, who was also our excellent chef. This video was taken last November -- so not on our just completed voyage -- but at a place we have been-- and probably one of my favorite places on this planet. This video says it all. Watch it first for the seal, and then again for the penguins in the background.

Neglected to mention that the text is from the person posting the video. I didn't go to Antarctica myself. I've never hugged an elephant seal either (but I did have a blind date once with a girl who looked similar).

Orson Wells could really tell a story. Here he gives us a history lesson on the origins of the Battle Hymn of the Republic which was popularized by the Union Army during the American Civil War.

Here is another great video clip. This show is at Kiel Opera House in St Louis June 65. Johnny Carson hosted the show. At the time, Johnny Carson had the Tonight Show. The Rat Pack were playing Las Vegas (Dean Martin, Sammy Davis Jr., and Frank Sinatra). This is supposed to be the ONLY time Carson sang in public. Quincy Jones was conducting the Basie Band, and he is visible in the background. www.youtube.com:80/watch_popup?v=VPH0-g25Vl8Enjoy

Thanks for the heads up beth and thanks for posting this Bush Ad. Where did you find it? I'm a real admirer of old smoothies and the Rat Pack was the smoothest of them all. That was just great. Can I change my wish and go back to '65 for a few mins? Great stuff. Gabriel

Gabriel - YouTube.com is a goldmine of great old videos like that Rat Pack one.
For example, here is an old Sonny and Cher video.

Another neat video. Two Cheetah cubs in captivity who are being taught to hunt by the zoo keeper. They're so cute.

A friend sent me a link to this great video. It is the remarkable story of a remarkable man -- Steve Jobs. This is a commencement speech in 2005 at Stanford University. A very private man opens up and tells the important stories of his life. Give it a look. You'll find it very worthwhile. There are some lessons in life here.
This was recorded before the iPhone and before his liver transplant. What a moving story.

This is a really amazing high definition video showing hummingbirds in slow motion. I liked it so much I watched it twice. Because it's high def it is a fairly large file so give it time to download before watching. Otherwise it will stop and start during playback. Also be sure to watch in the full screen mode. www.youtube.com/watch_popup?v=hjnc1kHMDDo&feature=player_embedded%3E

This is an absolutely GREAT VIDEO CLIP.
It's a seemingly suicidal scotsman on a bicycle doing the impossible. Be sure to watch in full screen view. The video quality is excellent.

Another really great video showing what cars will be like in 10 or 20 years. The coolest thing is being able to switch from left hand to right hand drive at the push of a button. Check it out.

This baby was on Ellen Degeneres....and the Today Show.....it is just the cutest video...
The father is looking for a job and got a rejection letter in the mail......gave it to his son and got this reaction......had the camera nearby and filmed it to show his wife later. Decided to put it on youtube for their family and it just went viral.........
