Yea I can't imagine straight pride marches going down to well.
Anyway apparently the word homophobe originally used to refer to heterosexual men's fear that others might think they are gay.
I guess it can mean whatever someone wants it to mean these days.

And there are plenty of people who are phobic about certain things that others might think of them.
I don't understand why a same sex preference is played up among all the other rumors and suspicions that people could think up.
I can imagine some guys dated girls ( and vica versa ) that they weren't interested in just to play the role of a well adjusted heterosexual male or female.

The words heterophobe + heterophobia have been used too. en.wiktionary.org/wiki/heterophobia
Self avowed heterophobe Carl confesses his aversion or "phobia" against heterosexuals. Why should anyone feel offended by that?

Yea I think that is quite likely, some even get married!

Personally I just treat people as I find them, it is their behaviour that matters nothing else.

People are people; to praise or condemn them because of their gender, skin colour or sexuality (as long as it's consenting adults - I draw the line at paedophilia and bestiality) is just crazy.
That's how a REAL liberal feels about issues like that.
They're irrelevant!
Only prejudiced people (on both sides of the fence - I've found rad fem lesbians in particular can be so full of misandrist hate it drives me mad) - care about things like that.

the irrefutable reality is that, by definition, there is no such word. NO ONE is afraid of homos. it is nothing but a slur conjured up by intole5qnt, hypocritical bigots to describe real people who have it right and know that homos are NOT normal

the irrefutable reality is that, by definition, there is no such word. NO ONE is afraid of homos. it is nothing but a slur conjured up by intolerant, hypocritical bigots to describe real people who have it right and know that homos are NOT normal I agree with your point about "homophobe." Also agree that homosexuals are not normal. However, they're our friends, relatives, neighbors, bosses, subordinates, public servants, chefs, writers, etc. No one wants to see themselves as abnormal so they're just naturally trying to move the goalposts thus revising the definition of what normalcy is. The so-called 'Political Correctness' movement is helping them to dig up and move those goal posts. So are left-leaning liberals worldwide. By the way, it isn't just the homosexuals who are trying to move the goal posts. Hillary Clinton, in an effort to garner the black vote, is promising to dramatically reduce the prison population, which is mainly blacks. To do that, she's going to decriminalize crime by trying to convince us that these black criminals serving hard time for felonies are really not bad guys after all. They've just been discriminated against because of their skin color. That's why they broke into your house and stole your TV. Should she succeed, expect a huge crime wave to follow. The world is fighting Islamic Terrorism, starvation, and disease, but the Democrats are fighting for men to pee in the ladies room.

I believe people are fed up with political bulls__t. The Democratic Party is over the edge with liberalism and Bernie Sanders reflects that mentality. On the other hand, the old Republican, elitist philosophy won't work. The party has to move towards the center. Most people are clueless about the constitution or gun rights and don't care about abortion. They do care about making money and good jobs. They yearn for a sensible "leader" who's neither far left like Bernie, or far right like Cruz. Trump is overall a smart and successful guy. Doesn't smoke, drink, do drugs or whore around. Doesn't need to kiss asses for money. Has a beautiful family with well brought up kids. With Ivanka having converted to Modern Orthodox Judaism you can be certain he's not anti-semetic and will be a strong supporter of Israel. His biggest negative is his personality disorder which compels him to act out like a 12 year old bully when'll he's criticized. I predict he will hire the best and brightest advisors and will act like a real leader. He's going to meet with the former president of Mexico, Vincente Fox, and I predict they will make nice to each other and make a deal. And the RNC will put the lid on the politicians who don't want to support Trump.....they are has beens. And, when Trump starts tearing into Hillary Clinton, all Republicans and Independents should love him.

Well some fears have a rational basis, for example for of heights, that is not something you would really want to treat so to speak as heights are dangerous. And take this nonsense for example. www.telegraph.co.uk/technology/news/10621980/Psychiatrists-help-create-app-to-cure-arachnophobia.htmlArachnophobia should not be cured, as fear of spiders is healthy and could save your life. Indeed "curing" it is responsible and dangerous, those idiots Psychiatrists need locking up in their own loonie bin. Same goes for fear of bees, bees can kill a fear of bees is healthy. Most fears have some sort of rational basis to a greater or lesser extent. And I would expect it is due to a fear of not reproducing.

Do that and you remove 90% of crime, you will be just left with white collar corruption, ie Hillaries and Obama's speaking fee etc..] It is more paid for by a reduction in police prison courts lawyers, lives not destroyed, by injury or imprisonment etc.. Indeed it would pay for it self several time over and leave enough left over to fund a trip to Alpha Centauri and back. Idneed I am surprise I didn't think of this before.

Indeed "curing" it is responsible and dangerous, those idiots Psychiatrists need locking up in their own loonie bin. Same goes for fear of bees, bees can kill a fear of bees is healthy. My mother has the "clown phobia" which is more widespread than you'd think and IMO silly, but not for those who have it.
A gay male columnist in a British newspaper was outraged that some people preferred not to shake his hand and referred to them as "homophobes" in his columne. Gosh we have germ phobias, people who don't warm up quickly to strangers, women who find handshaking unladylike,etc.,etc.. I feel it was pretensious of the guy to assume he was being boycotted by "homophobes". He sounded more like a jerk in his article.
Some people like you and maybe some don't. Really silly to blame "homophobia" or some other "discrimination".

Well I guess there is something to be said for the clown phobia, afterall you are dealing with some one who is in disguise, hiding their true identity. A lot of young children are scared of going to see Santa Claus. I guess what it is is fear of the unknown and unfamiliar. That is fairly natural, if you do not know something is safe why take the risk. What do you gain by shaking someone hand? Nothing really, plus you do not know where it has been! That gay guy was being a bit precious, why should anyone want to shake his hand in the first place, it is not as if he is the Queen, although he may actually be one!! ll I find a lot of such stuff over bearing really, it as if they think the world revolves around them!

Yes kronks if you play along with anyone who thinks it's all about him/her it only gets worse and worse.
These lobbyists, who make a business out of being offended should either be ignored or get a taste of their own pretentious medicine.
