This video shows a young woman (I'd call her moderately attractive) walking the streets of New York City for ten hours. She was accompanied by a photographer who walked ahead with a hidden GoPro camera. The point of all this was to show how young women are sexually harassed all the time in the city.
My thoughts:
-> Is this really sexual harassment since none of these guys proposed anything sexual? They just tried to get her to talk with them. I do think it is sexual harassment since these guys obviously had an agenda beyond simply talking.
-> Is this just New York? Or is this everywhere? I don't know the answer. New Yorkers have an 'in your face' reputation so maybe this is part of the culture there.
What are your thoughts?

I work the night shift and my work involves me with a lot of the Stuttgart night life people. I get passes too. It seems the foreigners are the most vulgar and inappropriate when approaching women here. There are those other guys too that perhaps just want to get to know you. It may be part of an agenda, but they may be sincere too.

I think each instance may deserves its own interpretation. Just because someone speaks to you isn't harassment? I think society has gone too far with the term 'harassment'.
Sometimes it may just be bad/rude behavior and nothing more. I think some women can portray bad behavior as well.

Here's the other side of the coin - men being sexually harassed by women.

There was a day/time when you could joke and even flirt a little on the job. But, nowadays you can't do that without harassment charges being filed.
Its kind of a double edged sword.

So many people in my age group met their spouses in the work place, including me. There was lots of kidding around and sexual innuendos were great fun.
Now we have political correctness and gay marriage.

I blame the lawyers, the culture of 'entitlement' and the greed for 'compensation.'
I like a man to be a man and a woman to be a woman.
Of course there's a difference between mild suggestiveness and genuine harassment.
But too many people can't seem to tell where boundaries are crossed any more.

When I was about 35, we had an office full of young professionals who joked a lot.
There was a young gal who was was just gorgeous. All the guys in the office were imagining how great she'd be in bed. She knew she had their attention, and she loved it. The guys would always make suggestive remarks and she always had a perfect come back.
One day she walked into my office and asked me, in a serious tone, "Do you think it is OK for a married man to have an affair with you younger single woman?"
I answered, "Of course I do. That sounds like a great idea!"
She then exited my office, smiling widely, hips swinging from side to side, and exclaiming, "Eat your heart out."
Those were fun times.

Sometimes those fun times were the only things that made bad jobs bearable. I used to wear a bracelet watch. One day it got hooked on a belt loop and came off at work. One of the guys found it and pinned it to his zipper. I blush easily and once they figured that out, they would go out of their way to embarrass me.
