www.9types.com/ A lot of companies world wide are having these so-called "enneagram seminares" for their employees, so that all can work together more harmoniously with each other. This helps people have more understanding for the type of personalities they work together with and in marriage counseling it is also growing rapidly in popularity. This form of personality classification has proved so revealing that in Germany it is subjected to the "Privacy Laws" and revealing the enneagram type of someone, without their consent can lead to trouble. There are no pure personality types here. Generally one personality type dominates in everyone's personality. The other 8 personality types are then present in lesser degrees. Einstein was believed to have a mixture of the type 9 and type 5 personality in equal strength. Don't think that you will automatically have a good relationship with someone sharing your personality type. This certainly isn't always the case. This link provides a very simple-perhaps too simple self appraisal test for your enneagram type personality. More later! BTW, the personality types which are weakly represented in you also tell a lot about you!

What fun (and maybe helpful, too) ! Thank you, Anna. I think I've done this before, in another forum, long ago and far away, but I can't remember my type, so shall go do it again later and report back here.

Well, I took the test and got a little bit of an edge on one type, but the rest are all over the place. I don't think this looks very defining - more like wishy-washy. Here goes ( you still haven't told us your results ). __________________________________________________ Type 1 The Reformer, the rational, idealistic type 7 Type 2 The Helper. The caring, nurturing type 4 Type 3 The Motivator. The adaptable, success-oriented type 3 Type 4 The Artist. The intuitive, reserved type. 3 Type 5 The Thinker. The perceptive, cerebral type. 5 Type 6 The Skeptic. The committed, security-oriented type. 4 Type 7 The Generalist. The enthusiastic, productive type. 3 Type 8 The Leader. The powerful, aggressive type. 3 Type 9 The Peacemaker. The easygoing, accommodating type. 4 _________________________________________________________________ gg, do rush over and take this test. I'm deeply interested in your results.

I'm deeply interested in your results. why should I do that? Everyone says I have no personality. I have to figure their opinions work as well as any test does. so I answer questions and someone gives an opinion where I rank. That's their opinion. Don't you know me well enough to know other people's opinion have no meaning to me at all? It says something about them and the path they have been on to come to those conclusions, and nothing about me.

I wish I'd done better on # 3, but alas, I think this is correct. OK. Who's Next! Be Brave!

I can see why I am totally happy being a hermit and not talking to people for weeks at a time, and when I know it's going to happen I dread it until it's over.

I) suspected you had a strong type 5 personality, which also is called the observer in some enneagram tests-a lot of scientists are 5s-watching Bud huh! Ones will typically stand up against anyone if they believe they are right! I usually love 1s-the perfectionist, reformer, etc.., but somehow you're an exception! ;D ;D ;D ;D

Anna, the 1 personality type seems to be consistant with the virgo personality (mine). I wonder how many others could draw a parallel with their enneagram type and their sun sign characteristics. Might be interesting.

I couldn't make a lot of sense out of it especially because it was so 'either/or' all the time. Some of the questions I wanted to tick BOTH boxes and some NEITHER.
That's the trouble with trying to measure people - we're too individual to be shoved in boxes!

I've taken this test before and find it fascinating. I have to admit that there must be something to this test because it keeps scoring me pretty much the same way.

With comments like that, I would think your skeptic rating would be off the chart!

Might be interesting. I stay out of Astrology! The thing i like about the enneagram is the ability to grow out of the box and all the enneagram personalty types have a healthy or liberated form, average and unhealthy forms! Astrology and the stars stay the same, regardless of which path you take at a crossing!

That's the trouble with trying to measure people - we're too individual to be shoved in boxes! Extremes are always bad! Putting people in boxes is wrong, but the opposite extreme of never trying to catagorise or label anything related to the human personality just leads to a politically correct nowhere land! Anyone who wishes to check their results with a 2nd test feel welcome! i find this test pretty good! The questions are easier to answer, although it is longer! www.eclecticenergies.com/enneagram/dotest.php
